Can we ban the use of invisible sledgehammers?

It feels like instead of twitching, I had someone smash my shoulder to bits with an invisible sledgehammer. I was reduced to tears for 3 hours straight. I doubled up on my pain meds, and was still unable to distract myself from the pain. I was too drugged to read, so I watched tv, and I had an ice pack on my shoulder.

The twitching is getting to the point that the dislocated shoulder/collar bone/larynx/ribs are all driving me nuts.

I choke on myself multiple times a day. It currently feels like I have 2 separate dislocations, as well as a pulled muscle in my shoulder.

I am once again at the point where I feel as though I can no longer hold my job. The 9 hour days, even though they consist of mostly sitting, are too exhausting. I haven't been able to find a comfortable sitting position for weeks, and I am so exhausted by the twitching and the pain, that I am unable to do anything outside of work.  But I'm me, so I'll tough it out as long as possible.

But I could really use a nap... This whole 2-4 hours of sleep every night isn't enough.

I thought I had posted here but obviously not. I just want to say. I just cannot believe that the whole twitching thing has not yet been helped yet despite all the tests etc. I wish so wish you could find some relief from this, it must drive you mad. I simply do not know how you continue to cope. The whole invisible sledgehammer thing I understand and offer empathy and a very gentle virtual hug. If only the blogosphere could offer, relaxing, wonderful, free, holidays.
Take care.

I have an appointment in August with a third movement disorder specialist/neurologist. That isn't inludng all the specialists/interns/gawkers that all poked and prodded at me in the hospital, and it is also in addition to my doctor, my new doctor, and 2 random walk-in doctors. I am so very frustrated.

As to coping, I do it because I must. If I stopped coping, I'd probably end up in the fetal position on the floor somewhere screaming until I lost my voice.

Good news is: three day weekend!!! It's Canada Day on Friday!!!

Hugs to you too, and thanks as always for the comment, it really makes my day!

The twitching is normal for us BubbleGirl, I get it every once in a while it last for about 3 or 4 days if it's a small muscle a couple of of minutes to a couple of hours if it's my arm or leg, and that asshole with the sledgehammer stops by my house a couple times a week. P.S. we all cope and make the best of life.

Please make sure you have a good chair. "coping" isn't good for us.
My muscles twitch too. I drink powdered magnesium.
